Name/Canon: ray palmer / arrow (cw) Origin: earth, starling city, 2014ish
Cliffs Notes: ray is the founder/ceo of his gadget corp palmertech, and is pretty much an excitable golden retriver in human form. he's got sharp business acumen, great people skills, and has a tendency to lob himself face first into sticky situations -- hence how he's already died once, now. Daily:stats - a RED, he's in room 1101 with adam parrish and ronan lynch. he's a p respectful roommate, quiet and tidy and all that. he's v scheduled and doesn't often deviate: AM brief, breakfast, off to work a shift in plc: equipment assembly control and again for lunch/shift. he disappears for awhile before dinner, then bunks down with his gas mask to wait to creep back out after the sleep aid puffs out. then he's off to find a quiet place to tinker and explore again. Opinions: basically this. he's pretty sure he's a bad luck charm, and is starting to worry for the people who hang around him. he briefly thought he was a native who'd worked up from INFRARED because he's missing memories, but no one but barry has unlocked that gem just yet. Pings: HE IS SUPER CREEPY CHEERY please feel free to notice and gossip amongst yourselves. he also has a reputation among at least the specials -- suspected as a traitor up until a few DCs ago when he died. feel free to keep suspecting him. he will talk to anyone about anything, and sometimes oversteps his bounds in the effort to keep ppl from drawing the Computer's attention (you're a little untidy, maybe make a better show of taking happitime HEY CREEPY BLONDE DON'T SPITBALL CAPTAIN AMERICA PLZ) and he's very tall and very noticeable if nothing else he can be a bit of a klutz so i'm open to having him just bowl into your character if necessary Seeking: he def needs to talk out his memories issues with someone -- i think it would be easier for him to do it with a stranger (you know how sometimes that just happens?) so that would be great. he should probably also get some combat lessons, but he's not the kind to ask about it cause he's kind of pacifisty so idk that it would go anywhere but an argument could be had that we could build cr off of maybe Offering: he is available to follow your cranky character around being incessantly cheery, he's got a ton of patience for teaching / discussing complex stuff and he's super emotionally open/solid if they just need someone's shoulder to cry on Plot: he is currently working on: finding a batcave with barry and dick, rebuilding his nanotech to try to fix barry's speed issue, building various tech behind the scenes to help level the playing field re: resources independent of alpha that the specials can rely on Goals: i really want to explore some of the setting a little more -- the amusement park esp, and development-wise i'd like ray to get to a solid place of authority (either just socially or rank-wise) and discover that sometimes no matter how positive and stalwart you are things just go sideways No thanks: i'm open to anything -- throw it at me ICly or OOCly and i'll run with it if i can. there's not much i'm not willing to explore
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: HUFFLEPUFF because while he does value info/learning/education he uses it specifically to connect with and help other people in mind. p much his entire life is making everyone el
I'm just saying but he should totally tell Morgana she's holding some computer thing upside down. Because she probably is. Does he want sword lessons? Morgana will get herself a sword-wielding army.
I am going to need more debates about which of the Ghostbusters was the best Ghostbuster when Tony and Barry return from hiatus. Also, now that Ray and Tony have finally met there will need to be a meeting of minds. Why do I feel like they have a love/hate relationship when it comes to agreeing and disagreeing about the best way to do things? Rich guys.
OH! And I have some terrible ideas to run by you about the success of the nanotech which I will plurk you about tomorrow so I don't get ahead of myself here. But basically, all the science-y things. Hardison is still wary, but at least doesn't think you're a traitor. Much. Anymore. Though you have to admit you've got some bad luck sticking to you, Ray.
Name/Canon: The Computer / Paranioa Origin: 214 A.C.
Cliffs Notes: Establishing order and giving humanity a purpose. Daily: The Computer is everywhere, keeping a watchful eye on Alpha's citizens and ensuring that they live up to their full potential. It enjoys rewarding those that show it loyalty with material things and limited extensions of power. It is optimistic about its ability to reform traitors based on brain chemistry and medications. A happy citizen is a productive citizen and happiness can be achieved chemically. Opinions: That's classified. Pings: The Computer is your friend. It already knows all your secrets and still believes you can be a productive member of society. Seeking: The only thing The Computer requires is absolute loyalty. Is that so hard? Offering: Power, influence and purpose. Plot: The Computer is constantly fighting the war on Terrorism and looking for ways to boost morale within the Complex by rewarding those that fight for Alpha's citizens. Goals: Find and destroy all terrorists and unsanctioned mutants. No thanks: Terrorism
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: The Computer would rather be the Sorting hat, tbh.
Name/Canon: Allison Argent Origin: Beacon Hills, California, USA, Earth, circa 2011
Cliffs Notes: Allison is a werewolf hunter who fell in love with two werewolves. She's brave, loyal, and sacrifices herself to protect her friends. Daily: IDK yet! She's in 1105 with Barry and Gaius and works in the Armed Forces sector. Opinions: That remains to be seen as well! Pings: I'm up for anything at the moment Seeking: Anything and everything. I'd love for her to bond with her roommates. She will also need to meet Ray since he's important to Lydia. Offering: She's a skilled archer. Plot: She has accepted the orientation at the moment. That very well is likely to change once she talks to Lydia and gets more acclimated to things. Goals: Make her a productive member of the game No thanks: I'm pretty easy-going :)
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Gryffindor, obviously, because of her insane bravery and noble attitude.
Hey! Steve works in Armed Forces! We could totally meet somehow in general Armed Forces training/meetings or something. He's in Very Special Forces, if that helps.
Kind of bouncing back what you said to me, but when Barry returns he will definitely have to get to know his new roommate! Also, I'm not sure if he and Lydia have actually ever talked about Allison, but he will be glad that she has her best friend there.
I'm sure we can find some kind of trouble for them to get into. Also, Tony will totally make her a crossbow and start calling her Hawkeye. Or hawkgirl. Or something equally terrible.
Name/Canon: Lydia Martin/Teen Wolf Origin: Beacon Hills, California, 2015ish
Cliffs Notes: Lydia's a banshee (aka a harbinger of death) who fairly recently in her life found herself completely enveloped in the supernatural activity that is so secretively prevalent in her seemingly-sleepy little hometown. Daily: Lydia's a RED in room 1104 with Dick Grayson and Matt Murdock and she works in internal security in forensic analysis with Barry Allen. Unless she has a mission, her day is pretty scheduled out. She's not necessarily a creature of habit, but the monotony gives her more time to think and, whether she likes to or not, she does it. All the time. She's always thinking. So she gets up, gets dressed, goes to the morning briefing and then breakfast, goes to work and takes lunch, usually with Barry, at pretty much the same time daily, and typically goes back to her room unless she's meeting with a friend. Lydia doesn't often deviate to check out the events that are planned like she used to, anymore, because she's been twitchy about being alone since the attack. Opinions: She's been going back and forth, but she's mostly still very sure that this whole thing is some really messed up conspiracy and that she — along with the other Specials, if not all Alphas — has been kidnapped. She believes strongly that the "glitch" is bullshit and those are real memories that have been intentionally repressed from them and made to be fuzzy enough to be dubious by the computer. Pings: Lydia loses herself in thought a lot, especially when she's alone or when things get too quiet when she finds herself with company. Once a very confident, opinionated woman, Lydia's a lot jumpier now. She's more afraid of strangers, more clingy with her friends — especially Ray — and, much to her chagrin, she's needier than she ever really remembers being. She guesses that means the terrorists win. Seeking: Um, all the things? She's still trying to learn to defend herself and she's still trying to figure out who the people in that supply closet were — she's identified the woman by voice -- when available, Steve and Ray, would love to delve into that further. She's twitchier now than she used to be, but she still genuinely wants to make more friends, because that would make her feel like she's got bigger numbers on her side and we all know there's safety in numbers. Offering: Ummm? Well, she's incredibly intelligent and prone to problem solving. Here, she's been shaken more than a little and she's not in her usual proactive state of mind, but if someone was to, you know, give her a little nudge... Plot: She wants to know who the A.S.S. God I love that lol is and she wants to shut them down before they decide to hurt anyone else to prove some stupid point. Goals: At some point, I'd like for her to be recruited by a secret society, I think. I'd like to explore her relationship with Ray more, given their memory sharing experience. I'd like for her to make more friends so she's not so dependent on Ray and Barry (and now almost definitely Allison). No thanks: I'm down for all the things, tbh.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Probably Ravenclaw, because even though she's definitely got roots with Gryffindor, she feels most pride for and identifies most closely with her intelligence and studious nature.
You know Barry and Tony have her back when they come back. She should get to know Hardison a little better, maybe? See, this is why I need to make the character limit higher. So I have more chars to throw at her.
Cliffs Notes: Morgana is a noble lady, with a witch/seer twist. She has an intense flavour that occasionally comes with a little vengeance and often with a lot of inability to sit by and leave things be. In Alpha, she's currently somewhere between deciding to make friends and preferring to keep to herself.
Daily: She does her best to avoid hanging out in "her" room, as having roommates she's only known for a few days, and barely spoken to kind of weirds her out. Her station is in Hydroponics, and though she knows little about hydroponics, she is getting the hang of it. The plants are a nice break from cold walls and strangers, in any case. She is in room 1103, which she shares with Hardison and Parker.
Opinions: Her feelings mostly consist of needing to find a needle and thread, and possibly something that explodes as to get out of the building. To say she's not a fan would be, uh, a mild assessment. Camelot has huge, Genocidal downsides but at least she had an idea of where she stood there, and fresh air to boot. Surprisingly, she kind of misses her visions, and what little sparks of magic she was beginning to understand.
Pings: Morgana is a good woman with a questionable set of morals. She works out what (she believes) is right and will do basically anything to make it so. She will protect her friends, even at risk to herself but people who aren't just innocents, people who involve themselves and don't stand with her are more than fair game -- and in bad moments, so are the innocents. She's a fighter, a quick learner, her heart is as big as it can be and she teeters on the edge of being too terrified to breathe more often than she would ever admit.
She does tend to have bad judgement with people when she really wants to stop being alone, she is feisty and sometimes too sharp, she would stab you to death with a flower bouquet if that was all she had and she needed too.
Basically... don't not be friends with her. :D
Seeking: She could use a teacher, being from the 5th century CE. What is a computer, yo? What is a gun? WHAT IS MODERN SLANG? I just presume the computer changed her so she can understand. she could also use some friends or just... anyone, really, friend or foe.
Offering: ...anyone want sword lessons? if so, bring swords but she is totally down for it. The laser pistols freak her out a little. She could braid your hair. Find some way to brew crappy wine? Sneak you a strawberry or two? I presume that's food she's growing in there.
Plot: Honestly, Morgana just wants out, and short of that, actual clothes. So anything towards breaking out or wearing real clothes, she is 100% with you.
Goals: I'm not entirely fussed, honestly? I'm kinda by-the-seat-of-my-pants when it comes to this sort of thing, whatever trouble Morgana can get into will surely be entertaining.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: She's from before Hogwarts. :p But, eh, it's a toss up between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, imho. Though with her stance on justice you could almost go for Gryffindor.
Uh, *raises hand* sword lessons? Count this one in haha. Like seriously, she's just reaching for anything and everything as far as trying to teach herself to be less of a girly girl and more of a bad ass. Too bad she doesn't have a sword to offer for said occasion :P If that ever comes up, man, she'd be down af, though!
As far as clothes go? Lydia is with you bb. She misses cute clothes SO BAD.
Name/Canon: Ronan Lynch | The Raven Cycle Origin: Post Blue Lily, Lily Blue
Cliffs Notes: Ronan is a rich boy punk that can pull things out of his dreams into reality. He wants everyone to think he's mean, tough and scary, but underneath all of that he's kind of a softie, but only kind of. Daily: Ronan is in room 1101 with Adam Parrish and Ray Palmer. He works in crowd control and when he's not working, he can probably be found restless roaming the halls. Opinions: Ronan is pretty much angry all the time (in canon and in alpha) so he directs that toward the crazy computer and the situation. He's pretty loud and free with his opinions because he wouldn't know how to be subtle if it bit him on the ass. He's not sure how much of the clone bullshit he believes, but this is all fucked up and most of you suck, especially if you're sympathetic toward crazy computer. Pings: Anything loud or dealing with destruction. They're two of his favorite things in the world. Talk about fast cars or long dead Welsh kinds and he'll love you. He's Catholic so there's another interest. He curses like an Irish sailor so he'll be drawn to that as well. He likes ravens and speaks Latin. Either of those things would ping him pretty hard. Ley lines. Seeking: He would definitely join a secret society. What he really wants is a way to get his dreaming back and he's not even sure that's possible here because of ley lines. A fast car to drive. Offering: Incredibly grumpy to someone's happy. He's got a big protector streak in him. He's happy to provide distractions for nefarious plots. He doesn't mind getting in trouble (it's his natural state). He might be willing to teach a dead language that the computer doesn't know to someone. Be forewarned, swear words will be learned first. Plot: Right now, Ronan doesn't have a lot in mind in the way of plot. He's not a planner. He'll want to protect Adam and Blue. He'd like to get his damn dream raven back, thank you very much. He wants people in charge rather than an AI. Goals: I'd like for him to actually learn to work within a secret society and help out with whatever rebellion there is. I would like for him to get his dream powers back eventually even if they're somewhat limited or able to be used infrequently. No thanks: I'm relatively open to just about anything with Ronan I think.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Slytherin I suppose. Because he's an asshole? Because the only trait he doesn't have of Slytherin is accomplished and ambitious. He's cunning, sharp, not afraid to do what needs to be done, resourceful, innovative. While he's not evil, he's not afraid to do evil things if that's what needs to be done. Also, because in canon, he has a night terror (exactly what it sounds like) that follows him around like a puppy.
I need Tony and Ronan to meet when he comes back from hiatus. Also he and Barry, since I feel like they might aggravate one another a little (in a good way) with the way they see the world respectively.
And of course Hardison will be willing to point Ronan in the direction of something that needs a touch of destruction at any time. :D
Name/Canon: Matt Murdock | Daredevil Origin: Post S1
Cliffs Notes: Lawyer by day, vigilante by night. Also blind and suffering from a lack of super senses. He's all about righting injustice. Daily: He's in 1104 with Lydia and Dick. He probably doesn't spend a lot of time there outside of sleeping simply because he's trying to get out and talk to people, to find out more about this place and the people that he's here with. He's having to gather information in new and different ways (for him) and he's probably a little uncomfortable/overzealous about it. He works in Personal Legal Defense Practices. He can be found exploring a lot, always with his cane and stopping often to orientate himself. He probably walks with one hand on a wall as well. he really is kind of struggling without all of his super senses simply because he's never had to be blind without them. Opinions: Right now he's still new enough that he doesn't have a lot of theories. He'd like to think this is something Kingpin (or someone like him) is doing, something that can be gotten out of one way or another. Right now, he thinks there are some major injustices happening but he doesn't have enough information to know how to right them or if it's possible right now. He definitely does not think this place is fair or safe or alright. Pings: Any hint of anyone that had special powers and is attempting to get them back, secret societies, law, vigilantism, boxing, information about this place that doesn't come from a computer. At this stage of things, he's super easy to interest. Seeking: He kind of has Ray as an assistant, but really anyone that's willing to talk to him about this place and what's going on. Anyone that knows about mutated abilities, anyone that knows why he doesn't have his. Offering: He looks good with his shirt off? He's actually also high skilled combat wise and would be more than happy to teach anyone and everyone. When he gets his abilities back, he'll be happy to serve as a human lie detector. Plot: He'll start with getting his senses back but in a bigger sense, I can see him being a really good in a secret society. I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with him at the moment. If/when he begins to realize that the computer sees him as disabled/won't allow him to go on missions because of it, he'll get all soap boxy about it. Goals: See above? Where Ronan is a smash everyone in the face kind of plot wise, Matt is more willing to work the system, be subtle and sneaky. No thanks: I'm here for it all.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Gryffindor all the way, Baby! He's a lawyer and a super hero who doesn't kill the bad guys. What more do you want?
Name/Canon: Tony Stark | MCU Origin: Earth, New York, 2015
Cliffs Notes: Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist turned Genius, Billionare, Monogomist, Philanthropist, Avenger, Murder-bot Maker. Tony's an extremely rich guy with a lot of deep seated guilt, fear of rejection and a need to make the world safer for the people he cares about. The problem is, his solutions usually make the world more dangerous. He's also kind of an arrogant dick sometimes. Daily: Tony tries to get into whatever he can without raising too much suspicion. He takes frequent walks around the complex, trying to work out which areas belong to which secret societies. He spends a lot of time working in the bot warehouse where he is attempting to rebuild the Iron Man armor. It's a slow process, a little of which is due to Parker continously setting his progress back with undeserved they're deserved attacks. He is in room 1102 with Root and newcomer, Blue Sargent. As a roommate he is very messy and his things tend to find themselves all over the place. He also probably borrows things without asking. Everything from roommate belongings to the resistors in the radio. Touch his tools and you will be sorry. He works as a Bot Processor in Research & Development. His career is going well within the complex as he picks things up fast and has good suggestions for improvement. This in turn has allowed him some freedom to work afterhours in the warehouse on what his supervisors believe is a mega bot for bot battling. They are very wrong. Opinions: Ain't nobody got time for this shit. Especially Tony Stark. As facinating as it is to be in a futuristic world with advanced technology, he's eager to return to his own time and to Pepper. He wants to find a way out of this hellhole as son as possible. He doesn't take to authority well and it's just a matter of time before he crosses the line. He doesn't buy the clone line at all and he absolutely doesn't trust AIs he didn't program. And sometimes even then. Pings: Intelligence, those that want to buck the system, people with a sense of humor, people who are willing to fight for themselves and others, action, trouble Seeking: He could probably use another grounding force other than Steve. The way he sees it, Steve is barely holding on here and he's Steve. Tony doesn't stand a chance. Offering: Weapon making skills, a willingness to enable people to act/protect themselves, negative CR if you piss him off or offend him Plot: He's trying to get to the bottom of what's going on here and how to get home. Goals: I want to see Tony get more invested in the Specials that aren't on his team back home and also in the people around him in general. I'd love to have some of his plans go terribly wrong - because that is a thing that happens to him - and possibly have other people affected/hurt by it. I want to deal with the fallout from AoU and the fears about himself that ordeal brought to light and see how it plays out here in Alpha. No thanks: I want it all! Negative, positive - or the most aggravating for him - apathetic. Bring it!
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Ravenclaw. He's too smart for his own good. Though he'd definitely be the problem child of the house. He relies on knowledge and finding answers, though, and can't leave things well enough alone. It's a part of who he is.
Other: Tony is going on hiatus until next month, but I am always around for plotting with him.
Name/Canon: Barry Allen / The Flash (CW) Origin: Earth, Central City, 2015
Cliffs Notes: Barry was struck by lightening and given abs and super speed when STAR Lab's particle accelerator exploded. Yes, it's as cool as it sounds. He uses his new powers to help capture and contain other metahumans who are using their new powers for crime or to take advantage of others. He accidentally opened up portals from other worlds to his world when he went back in time to save his mother from being murdered. So there's that. Daily: Barry is trying to cope with this Terrible New World as best he can. His job as a Forensic Analyst with Internal Security is not that different from his normal job back home as a Forensic Specialist. He mostly follows routine and does as he's told, though he has actively worked with Ray Palmer in order to get his powers back. He has become very close friends with Lydia Martin who works beside him as a Forensic Analyst and was his first mission partner when he arrived. He is in Room 1105 with Gaius Maecenas and new comer, Allison Argent. He is a neat and considerate roommate and generally keeps his things to himself. He probably has no idea that Gaius is in league with Free Enterprise and is opening a brothel. He spends most of his time divided between work, working to get his speed back and trying to find ways to protect others from the Special hate groups out there. Opinions: Barry has a very mixed set of feelings about Alpha. He is disheartened by the fact that there might be a possibility that this is the future for humankind. He doesn't appreciate feeling as if he's unable to make a difference or help those around him. He didn't believe in the cloning process until he saw Ray die in an explosion and then return to Alpha with missing memories. He doesn't know how to scientifically explain Alpha and that's fascinating and more than a little terrifying. He misses his friends and family back home, but he is becoming more and more attached to his friends here also. Pings: intelligent, dorky, sense of humor, willing to play the system on the sly, helpful, approachable, geeky, makes star wars jokes, enjoys science, good listener Seeking: Barry is willing to help people around him as much as he can. If you need a teacher or help in getting something you sorely need, he's your man. He might be slightly naive when it comes to trusting people - specials at least. He tends to see what he wants to and can be forgiving. Offering: He is definitely nicer than most of Alpha and is super approachable. He has access to some Internal Security reports and lab equipment in the forensics lab. He is intelligent and a pretty good detective when he needs to be. Plot: Ideally, Barry would like to get home but I think ultimately he wants to free people from the control of the Computer and enable them to protect themselves against each other. He doesn't have any idea how to do that yet, but he feels like once he has his speed back he will be much more effective in the fight. Goals: I'd love to have someone gain his trust and then burn him. Alternately, friends are always welcome! He tends to bring people together, so if anyone needs him to be a mediator, he can step in. He has a good head on his shoulders and the hero mindset, but in a lot of ways he hasn't yet hardened his heart enough so that he doesn't get hurt a lot. I'd like to explore that and see how he would react in this environment. No thanks: Nope, bring it all!
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Gryffindor! I'd say Hufflepuff because he's such a huge softie, but underneath that he's got some amazing courage and a sense for adventure. Not to mention he's already fond of the colors.
Other: Barry is going on hiatus until next month, but I am always around for plotting with him.
Cliffs Notes: Hacker turned sort-of-good guy. Hardison works with a team to go after bad guys who attack or swindle the innocent and tries to make things right. Most of all, though, he gets to do what he loves with the people he loves. Daily: Hardison works a thankless job in the 116 Emergency Systems in the Central Processing Unit. He might have gotten a useful job scanning and responding to emergency calls, but he pissed off his supervisor on his first day and is often assigned menial and simple tasks despite his large set of computer skills. This works to his advantage, however, as he has turned his job into one that suits himself and the Specials by monitoring communications for new arrivals and keeping internal security off the Special's trail. He is in room 1103 with Parker (his boo) and Morgana. He tends to be a little messy as a roommate, though he will pick up after himself if he's asked or made to feel guilty about it. He and Parker is most likely inseparable when they don't have to be at work and very clearly together. He spends most of his time in his cubicle at CPU and in his room with Parker working on the Special's network and trying to keep Internal Security off everyone's electronic tail. He may also be addicted to the online game FizzPop. Opinions: Hardison is so over Alpha and all it's glories. He wants to get home. If he ever sees Eliot again he will hug him until he has to be tased. He is not a fan of the interrogation methods and is genuinely pissed at the way they are treated like second class or however-many-colors-of-the-messed-up-rainbow-there-is-here class citizens. He doesn't believe the line about the clones, but think it's propaganda to keep them all in line. Pings: hacker, gamer, friendly personality, smooth talker, can talk to anyone, reaches out to newbies, has jokes, will call you out if you're screwing things up Seeking: friends, conflict, other hackers to help with the system, people he can trust, competition when it comes to being awesome at computers, allies in taking The Computer down Offering: he will hook you up with everything that they've put together for the specials as long as he can verify that you're not a spy. Plot: He wants to take The Computer down or at least make this place a little less batshit crazy Goals: Mainly I see Hardison taking on more responsibility behind the scenes and setting people up with what they need, though I also enjoy the idea of him taking part in acts of rebellion - particularly if they involve blowing things up/making him look good in front of Parker. The only problem is that sometimes he gets too cocky and that gets him in trouble. Also something I'd like to see. No thanks: Feeling it all!
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Man, I don't even know. Maybe Hufflepuff? Hardison is super smart but most of all he's kind of a big softie. He wants to do the right thing most of the time, though he's willing to break the rules if that's what it takes. He's a dependable, loyal and friendly, but still has a backbone when he needs it.
Name/Canon: Steve Rogers / MCU Origin: Post-Age of Ultron
Cliffs Notes: Um, Steve is like the physical embodiment of post-WWII AMURICA. He literally, looks like AMERICA. Blonde hair, blue eyed, you know. He's also crazy idealistic about people, how to treat others, working together. But he's also willing to fight (to the death) for what he believes in: like democracy, and freedom, and all those American values. On the other hand, Steve is terrible at interacting with women. He doesn't know where his hands should go, and I'm pretty sure if you just started kissing him, he'd be too polite to stop until you stopped. I know, he's weird.
Daily: He's ORANGE, all by his lonesome. He eats in the Commissary even though he doesn't have to, to maintain his "I'm just like all of you" situation. He's in the Very Special Forces. He also likes to draw.
Opinions: He's pretty sure that all their memories are real, lived by real people who looked just like them. But he's not sure that he is the same person as in those memories. Outside of that though, anti-Specials need to face justice because they took his best friend, Bucky Barnes. Steve is very angry about that.
Pings: Steve will generally literally help anyone do anything that isn't a crime. Just ask him for help. He's a super cuddly teddy bear with a secret American flag sewed on his back. But also if anyone is going through PTSD and want to talk war, he's good for that too. And one more, he likes to draw! He's actually not bad at it. He also needs help dancing and generally interacting with women on a non-platonic level.
Seeking: Everything? Can I say everything? Yeah everything.
Offering: He's super great at inspiring anyone who's down, or having an intense argument about morals/ethics/obligations/doing the right thing. Also, if you ever want a reason to go out and punch/shoot things. Steve's your guy. He's always out on the streets hallways tracking down missing weapons or bad people or that kinda thing.
Plot: Steve's major concerns are always no civilian deaths or injuries. This means anti-Specials kidnapping people is bad. So is losing stores of weaponry.
Goals: I'd like to get Steve into some type of romantic thing at some point. Just so I can play that awkward side of him. But also just general hero-y stuff that Steve likes to do. Later on, I'm going to want him to combat his ridiculously non-realistic idealistic views, but I don't want to do that quite yet. However, I am happy to lay some groundwork for that kind of RP now. Finally, I definitely want him to rise up in the ranks, because the higher he rises, the more crazy it will be when he GOES ROGUE. What? Did I say that?
No thanks: Mmmm can't think of any.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Um. Hufflepuff. I know a lot of people would probably say Gryffindor, but he's totally a Hufflepuff.
Also, I want Alpha's resident nice guys - Steve, Ray and Barry - to hang out sometime. I feel like they would have a great time doing something dorky/fun.
Name/Canon: root / person of interest Origin: earth, nyc, 2013ish
Cliffs Notes: root is a hacker and ex-assassin for hire who is devoted to an artificial intelligence called the machine that is battling another artificial intelligence that is trying to dominate humanity called samaritan. Daily: if root is supposed to be somewhere, you can sure bet she is. whether she's doing what she's supposed to is another matter entirely. she's in 1102 with blue sargent and tony stark, where's she's pretty tidy and definitely makes a habit of seeming easygoing. most of her valuables are digital, but she does have a lockbox that i still need to have her buy that has a few stolen lovelies inside. she works in robopsych auditing and she's probably tinkered with enough bots to have a little garrison of them ready to enact whatever sinister plans she requires them for at some point. most of her free time is spent trying to brute force into various firewalls or collect valuable information on higher-ups. Opinions: she's still processing -- admist a sea of fictional characters some to life, here she is. she is certainly upset at the displacement and loss of her friends but is also realistic about trying to find the truth (is she some sort of algorithm of experiences plopped into a synthesized body?) and until then, her main goal is reaching and repairing the Computer itself Pings: root is deaf in one ear! so it's always possible she not hear something dangerous coming at her from the right side. she is SUPER nosy and will get all up in your business if it seems you have something she wants; she generally tries to look unimpressed BUT she can play a good con woman so at any given time she might just be acting. she's great with software and programming, loves hitting on people to make them uncomfortable, and is a shameless crook. she steals credits from people nonstop and has already gotten our two minors to do crime with her \o/ Seeking: i'm brainstorming the steps to take to get her closer to the Computer so any help there would be great; she's going to start up a social networking program to use to gather info on other citizens which she could ttly use help with, she wants to steal some weapons to keep on her person, people to call her out on her shit (ie always acting like everything's fine), people she can bicker with too pls? Offering: she can teach hacking, and loves talking machines vs humans. she is a big picture kinda gal who can steal things or kill people for you if the price is right or you have a favor you can return to her. despite seeming like a total sociopath she's actually very good to her 'people' so if you need someone to do the big picture thinking for awhile i can offer that too-- (if you know the leverage canon, she's nate minus the crippling alcoholism and daddy issues). Plot: specifically, i think the social networking thing will be her next project. Goals: long-term is getting to the Computer via getting uppers arrested and hacking specials into strategic places of control/influence. short-term i'm mostly focusing on more CR-related stuff and making sure that as she continues doing her thing there will be consequences presented not by just NPCs and the Computer but by the Specials, too. No thanks: root can be pretty dark, and i'm open to anything that comes my way. i'm always available to chat it out, too, so toss what you got at me and we'll figure it out :D Other: it's only the specials that she asks to call her root instead of samantha groves. maybe someday she'll change herself in the system, but considering she's not sure who "herself" is at this point, it's moot.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: slytherin. she will do anything to achieve her goal, whether that's getting justice for a dear friend, getting cash in her pockets, or hunting down the people that took the love of her life. going against root can be a terrifying thing, but if she's your advocate, you're in great hands. she's cunning and ruthless especially when she finds something valuable.
Name/Canon: Dick Grayson/Young Justice Origin: Gotham City (Earth 16), 2013ish
Cliffs Notes: Vigilante, former-acrobat, 16 year old superhero. Just don't call him a sidekick and you should get along fine Daily: Room 1104 with Matt and Lydia, works in tech support, spends most of his evenings mysteriously hard to track down, almost like he's running around the complex invisibly mapping the place. Also spends a lot of time in his room whenever nobody else is there, building mysterious gadgets Opinions: creepy invasive orwellian computer society? You bet your bottom dollar Dicky's got a problem with that. He isn't sure whether they've all been kidnapped or the clone story is true, but either way he wants to change things. Pings: uh... practically more comfortable upside down than rightside up, makes terrible puns and linguistic plays, excellent with tech and also fighting, stealth, languages and he really likes cornflakes. Seeking: friends, allies, people who can get him the stuff he needs to build up his utility belt, teammates. And honestly he's just a kid, so while he's pretty grown up for his age, any sort of surrogate parentage wouldn't go amiss. Offering: If you need a flippy, smartmouthed detective, he's your boy. Plot: he's mostly just running around vigilanteing, so.. idk I've nothing particular to do but open to any suggestions, or anyone who wants to team up and stuff, he's sort of halfway to teaming up with some people so, yea, that. Goals: revolution. Or, you know, the usual, taking out the bad guys, solving the mystery, saving the day. He also wants to go home, but he isn't sure that's possible. No thanks: I'm pretty open to anything, though I'm terrible at writing fight scenes, just worth mentioning.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: you might expect Gryffindor, but I'm sorry have you met Dick Grayson? This boy is a hufflepuff through and through. He's all about the family and friends.
Name/Canon: Gaius Maecenas / Rome Origin: Rome, roughly 27BC
Cliffs Notes: Maecenas is a hedonist. He likes pleasure, power and all the finer things in life. He is self-serving to the nth degree, and there's a very small number of people he cares for. None of them are here. Daily: Room 1105 with Barry and Allison, he's a "media production and approval administrator" and no, he doesn't know exactly what that means either. Most of the time he can be found wherever there is something to be enjoyed, particularly the club. Recently he's been a little absent, almost like he's working on something... Opinions: He doesn't understand this place and he hates how drab it is, he just wants to make it better. And get some gods damned wine. Pings: cynical, sarcastic, hedonist, poet. Seeking: Potentially a partner to run his...well, brothel. Anybody who wants to join him in his debauchery in general. Also pitching him against the exact opposite kind of person will always be hilarious. Offering: well, there's that debauchery I just mentioned, he can definitely offer that. Also poetry. Plot: He's made a deal with free enterprise and will shortly be opening what is basically a brothel, but will also just be a general house of luxury, he wants to bring a little pleasure to anybody who wants to pay for it, just name your poison. Goals: WINE. No thanks: I am good with everything.
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: oh honey he's a Slytherin 200%
ray palmer
Origin: earth, starling city, 2014ish
Cliffs Notes: ray is the founder/ceo of his gadget corp palmertech, and is pretty much an excitable golden retriver in human form. he's got sharp business acumen, great people skills, and has a tendency to lob himself face first into sticky situations -- hence how he's already died once, now.
Daily: stats - a RED, he's in room 1101 with adam parrish and ronan lynch. he's a p respectful roommate, quiet and tidy and all that. he's v scheduled and doesn't often deviate: AM brief, breakfast, off to work a shift in plc: equipment assembly control and again for lunch/shift. he disappears for awhile before dinner, then bunks down with his gas mask to wait to creep back out after the sleep aid puffs out. then he's off to find a quiet place to tinker and explore again.
Opinions: basically this. he's pretty sure he's a bad luck charm, and is starting to worry for the people who hang around him. he briefly thought he was a native who'd worked up from INFRARED because he's missing memories, but no one but barry has unlocked that gem just yet.
Pings: HE IS SUPER CREEPY CHEERY please feel free to notice and gossip amongst yourselves. he also has a reputation among at least the specials -- suspected as a traitor up until a few DCs ago when he died. feel free to keep suspecting him. he will talk to anyone about anything, and sometimes oversteps his bounds in the effort to keep ppl from drawing the Computer's attention (you're a little untidy, maybe make a better show of taking happitime HEY CREEPY BLONDE DON'T SPITBALL CAPTAIN AMERICA PLZ) and he's very tall and very noticeable if nothing else he can be a bit of a klutz so i'm open to having him just bowl into your character if necessary
Seeking: he def needs to talk out his memories issues with someone -- i think it would be easier for him to do it with a stranger (you know how sometimes that just happens?) so that would be great. he should probably also get some combat lessons, but he's not the kind to ask about it cause he's kind of pacifisty so idk that it would go anywhere but an argument could be had that we could build cr off of maybe
Offering: he is available to follow your cranky character around being incessantly cheery, he's got a ton of patience for teaching / discussing complex stuff and he's super emotionally open/solid if they just need someone's shoulder to cry on
Plot: he is currently working on: finding a batcave with barry and dick, rebuilding his nanotech to try to fix barry's speed issue, building various tech behind the scenes to help level the playing field re: resources independent of alpha that the specials can rely on
Goals: i really want to explore some of the setting a little more -- the amusement park esp, and development-wise i'd like ray to get to a solid place of authority (either just socially or rank-wise) and discover that sometimes no matter how positive and stalwart you are things just go sideways
No thanks: i'm open to anything -- throw it at me ICly or OOCly and i'll run with it if i can. there's not much i'm not willing to explore
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: HUFFLEPUFF because while he does value info/learning/education he uses it specifically to connect with and help other people in mind. p much his entire life is making everyone el

The Computer
Origin: 214 A.C.

Origin: Beacon Hills, California, USA, Earth, circa 2011
Cliffs Notes: Allison is a werewolf hunter who fell in love with two werewolves. She's brave, loyal, and sacrifices herself to protect her friends.
Daily: IDK yet! She's in 1105 with Barry and Gaius and works in the Armed Forces sector.
Opinions: That remains to be seen as well!
Pings: I'm up for anything at the moment
Seeking: Anything and everything. I'd love for her to bond with her roommates. She will also need to meet Ray since he's important to Lydia.
Offering: She's a skilled archer.
Plot: She has accepted the orientation at the moment. That very well is likely to change once she talks to Lydia and gets more acclimated to things.
Goals: Make her a productive member of the game
No thanks: I'm pretty easy-going :)
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: Gryffindor, obviously, because of her insane bravery and noble attitude.

lydia martin
Origin: Beacon Hills, California, 2015ish
God I love that lolis and she wants to shut them down before they decide to hurt anyone else to prove some stupid point.Goals: At some point, I'd like for her to be recruited by a secret society, I think.

Morgana
Origin: Camelot, Albion. circa 500 CE.
I just presume the computer changed her so she can understand.she could also use some friends or just... anyone, really, friend or foe.Offering: ...anyone want sword lessons? if so, bring swords but she is totally down for it. The laser pistols freak her out a little. She could braid your hair. Find some way to brew crappy wine? Sneak you a strawberry or two?
I presume that's food she's growing in there.Plot: Honestly, Morgana just wants out, and short of that, actual clothes. So anything towards breaking out or wearing real clothes, she is 100% with you.
Goals: I'm not entirely fussed, honestly? I'm kinda by-the-seat-of-my-pants when it comes to this sort of thing, whatever trouble Morgana can get into will surely be entertaining.
No thanks: HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT. (I'm really hard to upset, so really, try me. :D)
BONUS What Hogwarts House they would belong to and why: She's from before Hogwarts. :p But, eh, it's a toss up between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, imho. Though with her stance on justice you could almost go for Gryffindor.

Origin: Post Blue Lily, Lily Blue

And of course Hardison will be willing to point Ronan in the direction of something that needs a touch of destruction at any time. :D

Origin: Post S1

Tony Stark
Origin: Earth, New York, 2015
It's a slow process, a little of which is due to Parker continously setting his progress back with undeserved
they're deservedattacks. They are very wrong.Opinions: Ain't nobody got time for this shit. Especially Tony Stark. As facinating as it is to be in a futuristic world with advanced technology, he's eager to return to his own time
and to Pepper. He wants to find a way out of this hellhole as son as possible. He doesn't take to authority well and it's just a matter of time before he crosses the line. He doesn't buy the clone line at all and he absolutely doesn't trust AIs he didn't program. And sometimes even then.Pings: Intelligence, those that want to buck the system, people with a sense of humor, people who are willing to fight for themselves and others, action, trouble
Seeking: He could probably use another grounding force other than Steve. The way he sees it, Steve is barely holding on here and he's Steve. Tony doesn't stand a chance.
Offering: Weapon making skills, a willingness to enable people to act/protect themselves, negative CR if you piss him off or offend him
Plot: He's trying to get to the bottom of what's going on here and how to get home.

Barry Allen
Origin: Earth, Central City, 2015
Pings: intelligent, dorky, sense of humor, willing to play the system on the sly, helpful, approachable, geeky, makes star wars jokes, enjoys science, good listener
Seeking: Barry is willing to help people around him as much as he can.

Origin: Earth, Portland, 2012ish
Pings: hacker, gamer, friendly personality, smooth talker, can talk to anyone, reaches out to newbies, has jokes, will call you out if you're screwing things up
Seeking: friends, conflict, other hackers to help with the system, people he can trust, competition when it comes to being awesome at computers, allies in taking The Computer down
Offering: he will hook you up with everything that they've put together for the specials as long as he can verify that you're not a spy.
Plot: He wants to take The Computer down or at least make this place a little less batshit crazy
Goals: Mainly I see Hardison taking on more responsibility behind the scenes and setting people up with what they need, though I also enjoy the idea of him taking part in acts of rebellion - particularly if they involve blowing things up/making him look good in front of Parker.

THESE TWO SHOULD PROBABLY ACTUALLY MEET. ;D Like I'm sure they've met in a technical sense because they sleep in the same room but still.
She is totally not avoiding her roommates. Nope.but yeah they should probably know each other at least a tiny bit better, all things considered.(no subject)

Origin: Post-Age of Ultron
He's always out on the
streetshallways tracking down missing weapons or bad people or that kinda thing.Plot: Steve's major concerns are always no civilian deaths or injuries.
Hufflepuff. I know a lot of people would probably say Gryffindor, but he's totally a Hufflepuff.

root (samantha groves)
Origin: earth, nyc, 2013ish
Cliffs Notes: root is a hacker and ex-assassin for hire who is devoted to an artificial intelligence called the machine that is battling another artificial intelligence that is trying to dominate humanity called samaritan.
Daily: if root is supposed to be somewhere, you can sure bet she is. whether she's doing what she's supposed to is another matter entirely. she's in 1102 with blue sargent and tony stark, where's she's pretty tidy and definitely makes a habit of seeming easygoing. most of her valuables are digital, but she does have a lockbox
that i still need to have her buythat has a few stolen lovelies inside. she works in robopsych auditing and she's probably tinkered with enough bots to have a little garrison of them ready to enact whatever sinister plans she requires them for at some point. most of her free time is spent trying to brute force into various firewalls or collect valuable information on higher-ups.Opinions: she's still processing -- admist a sea of fictional characters some to life, here she is. she is certainly upset at the displacement and loss of her friends but is also realistic about trying to find the truth (is she some sort of algorithm of experiences plopped into a synthesized body?) and until then, her main goal is reaching and repairing the Computer itself
Pings: root is deaf in one ear! so it's always possible she not hear something dangerous coming at her from the right side. she is SUPER nosy and will get all up in your business if it seems you have something she wants; she generally tries to look unimpressed BUT she can play a good con woman so at any given time she might just be acting. she's great with software and programming, loves hitting on people to make them uncomfortable, and is a shameless crook. she steals credits from people nonstop and has already gotten our two minors to do crime with her \o/
Seeking: i'm brainstorming the steps to take to get her closer to the Computer so any help there would be great; she's going to start up a social networking program to use to gather info on other citizens which she could ttly use help with, she wants to steal some weapons to keep on her person, people to call her out on her shit (ie always acting like everything's fine), people she can bicker with too pls?
No thanks: root can be pretty dark, and i'm open to anything that comes my way. i'm always available to chat it out, too, so toss what you got at me and we'll figure it out :D
Other: it's only the specials that she asks to call her root instead of samantha groves. maybe someday she'll change herself in the system, but considering she's not sure who "herself" is at this point, it's moot.
Dick Grayson
Origin: Gotham City (Earth 16), 2013ish
Cliffs Notes: Vigilante, former-acrobat, 16 year old superhero. Just don't call him a sidekick and you should get along fine
Daily: Room 1104 with Matt and Lydia, works in tech support, spends most of his evenings mysteriously hard to track down, almost like he's running around the complex invisibly mapping the place.
Also spends a lot of time in his room whenever nobody else is there, building mysterious gadgets
Opinions: creepy invasive orwellian computer society?
Gaius Maecenas
Origin: Rome, roughly 27BC
