Hi Guys,

I just wanted to clear up some confusion in regards to the setting of Alpha. There is very much a class system in place, so the finer things in life are available easily to those in power - Violet and above. The Charity Ball was a chance for those at lower levels to step into the luxury that these citizens experience everyday. The prizes that Jack Harkness put together were with the express permission of The Computer and those he works for in Mind Control - namely, Teela O'Malley. Teela is considered much like Alpha royalty because she is a Violet clearance citizen. Those in this class make up less than 1% of the Alpha Complex population.

While your character can probably get luxury items, their only avenue is through Free Enterprise and a large amount of credits. Even then, they run the risk of being fined or worse for being caught with these items. Please use the Commissary & Free Enterprise Tables to see what is readily available to your characters and at what price. If there is an item that you'd like to purchase, or want to see if Alpha has an equivelent to, hit up the Free Enterprise post to make a request or a deal.

Also, don't forget to use the Financials post to see what credits are available for your character to use as well as filling out the google form linked there when making purchases. You can also comment on the Commissary & Free Enterprise post and we'll subtract the credits you've spent.
