Alpha Complex Test Drive Meme

Please feel free to take a Test Drive to see if the environment would suit your character! All potential players are welcome.

It may be your first day in Alpha Complex or your hundredth, either way, you are in serious trouble.

Scenario One
Your character has been accused of treason!

Whether the accusation is true or not, you are a wanted citizen!  Do you turn yourself over to IntSec (Internal Security) for questioning?  Do you make a run for it and go AWOL?  Will you fight for your right to exist or hole up somewhere safe until the chaos passes?  Do you become The Fugitive and try to prove your innocence?  Or are you guilty as hell and seeking help from friends or other parties who would be willing to assist you for a price? 

Beware of the security cameras everywhere - some of which actually work - and being spotted by citizens who might be willing to turn you in to gain points with The Computer or to prove their own loyalty.

Scenario Two
Your character has been given the mission to hunt down a traitor!

It is your job to hunt down and apprehend the traitor by any means necessary.  If you fail or refuse, you might be accused of being a traitor yourself.  It doesn't matter if the person you are hunting is innocent or had good reasons for their treason.  It doesn't matter if their crime was major or some minor form of treason, Friend Computer wants their head.  You have twenty four hours to complete your mission.

When he put down his weapon, Lydia lowered hers, but she didn't put it away. She was small and had no mutant abilities; she was still learning self-defense from her boyfriend and friends. It was safer for her to err on the side of caution, but she didn't want to continue to appear as a direct threat.

"If by friendly, you mean I'm not going to turn someone into the Computer without a damn good reason," she started, "then yes. I'm a friendly face."

Heh, wonder if she's going to turn him in or not.

Jan raises a eyebrow. "If i wanted to kill you, it probably would of been done by now."

He shakes his head "You hardly know me yet you are willing to throw me under the bus like those damn Helghasts.."

(Helghasts are his enemies back home)

Mirroring his expression with an incredulous one of her own, Lydia wiggles the laser gun in her hand a little without actually raising it again. "Makes two of us," she points out. "I'm not putting it away, though. I don't know you or what you're capable of."

Or, for that matter, what he's doing so close to Specials HQ when she's never seen this man before. She kinda wishes Dick would show up right about now.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she adds in response to his question. Because she doesn't...she has no clue. She can assume he's probably wanted for treason but what else is new? Most people are from what she can gather.

I come from the far flung future where everything isn't so perfect, its more of a wartime thing.. almost all the time against others named the Helghast.

"I'm not the computer's puppet to turn you in even though i look like it.."

Truthfully, Lydia doesn't really have time for a long story. She's already stretched herself too thin with the responsibilities that she's taken on in an attempt to move her way up the clearance ladder. She frowns.

"I haven't done anything to get turned in, so..." she says, looking unamused. "In case you haven't noticed, sweetie, we all look like the Computer's puppets," she says, gesturing down at her own ORANGE jumpsuit. ...she'd turned someone in for treason to earn that color, but in Lydia's defense, it was the woman leading the ASS into beating her nearly to death just to prove how much they hate the Specials, so Lydia doesn't feel bad about that. At all.
