Steve’s voice is demanding, like he needs to know now, and someone on the other side of his comms isn’t giving him good enough information. Whoever this new Special is, she’s set off the alarms, and unless he finds her before she leaves his sector, Steve won’t be able to do a damn thing about her arrest.
“I turned left, she’s not there. What can you see on the cameras?”
He’s close though, even if he doesn’t know. Close enough that Kara can probably hear his voice from just around the corner.
Normally, he’d yell. He’d yell her name, and yell that he was here to help, but that much noise would not only cause commotion, but it’d be loud enough to get logged inside of IntSec, the equivalent of the FBI, CIA, and NSA all mushed together into one large secret spy department.
Then the footsteps start again. He’s coming down the hall.
