It's weird to consider the fact that there might be people in the Alpha Complex that Zatanna will come across in the future who, like this girl, won't know what a superhero is. They're so prevalent back home, it boggles her mind to consider. Back home, the Justice League is a known and respected entity; civilians look to their superheros and metas to protect them and serve them, like the police except with the kinds of powers that can stop villains that the police can't even touch.
The other girl asks what kinds of powers and Zee takes a deep breath, letting it out softly. "Uh, well..." she starts with a little shrug. "I had magic. I could say spells and things would happen or people would do what I needed them to do. Bad guy about to kill somebody? Make him drop his weapon. Need intel to track down a baddie, make their sidekick talk when they won't. Put up a psychic sort of shield to protect a friend in trouble when fighting the good fight? All I have to do is say the spell."
She pauses then, frowning. "All I had to do, anyway. I can't do it here. My spells don't work. It's so lame."
