If she hadn't said anything until just now, then that wasn't the reason she was wanted. Derek took a deep breath and shook his head a little as he tried to think. Watching her pace really wasn't helping, because it tended to make him anxious by proxy, but he kept a lid on that complaint for the moment.
"I have no idea," he admitted, frowning sympathetically. "That's just it...if you don't know what you did and I don't know what you did, then how are you supposed to prove that you didn't do it?"
