Tony's voice snaps Steve out of whatever shock he was experiencing in the moment, and he takes off, running down the hall at full speed. Questions could wait until later.

When he's about halfway there, Steve leaps into the air, driving his shield down so the centrifugal force carries him a full 360 degrees around him in midair — and once he touches ground again, he lets the metal fly. It slams right into the Guardbot, leaving not only a dent, but a small breach into it's inside wiring.
