Alpha Complex Test Drive Meme

Please feel free to take a Test Drive to see if the environment would suit your character! All potential players are welcome.

It may be your first day in Alpha Complex or your hundredth, either way, you are in for a long day.

Alpha's Bouncy Bubbly Beverage(B3) bottling plant has recently developed a new line of flavored beverages and has tasked you with the task of hooking distributing them to Alpha citizens. The only problem is that a glitch in the bottling of these new beverages has resulted in 10x to 100x as much pressure being stored inside the bottles, making these new flavors range from somewhat dangerous to the equivalent of a hand grenade.

  • B3 GrapeFruit - Tastes just like GrapeFruit Flavor! Anyone who opens this bottle will immediately unleash a 2 ft. spray of grapefruit bouncy beverage in whatever direction they are pointing the bottle.
  • B3 Orange - I can't believe it's synthetic Orange! Opening this bottle will cause the bottle to shoot out of the opener's hands like a rocket launcher. Damage is equivalent to a 20 oz bottle going at the speed of 10 miles per hour.
  • B3 New Cola - 5X sweeter! Opening this bottle will cause a similar result to that of the B3 Orange, except the damage is equal to a 20 oz bottle traveling at 30 miles per hour.
  • B3 Lemon - When Life gives you Lemons, swallow them! Anyone opening this bottle is most likely to lose a limb, or at the very least a few fingers.
  • B3 Rasberry - Drink a Rasberry, don't blow it! Dropping or opening this bottle will result in damage equivalent to a grenade going off.

  • Is your character thirsty?
Are they about to spray themselves with GrapeFruit? Or worse, their brand new Alpha friend/crush? Are they about to commit treason by accidentally destroying Alpha property with Orange or Cola B3? Have they been tasked with recalling the dangerous version of Lemon and Raspberry or are they making the rounds to confiscate them for themselves and their own uses? Or are they being targeted by one of the more violent secret societies who have weaponized these bouncy bubbly beverages and are causing chaos in Alpha? Maybe you've been given a mission to return these beverages back to the bottling facility, except first you have to get this cart full of explosive bottles across the chunks of asphalt street someone accidentally blew up by cracking open a Raspberry beverage.

The work of a Troubleshooter is never done...

Please post your character name and fandom in the subject line.
Be Careful. Watch your fingers. Protect Alpha.

It was impossible to miss how Oliver didn't seem as thrown off about the explosion as Sara felt internally. She was used to mayhem and destruction - it was impossible not to, considering her ties to the League - but a bomb in some people's living quarters, for no apparent reason? Maybe she really was too new to this, but either way she had a bad feeling about it.

"I was going to try and offer my help." A beat. "Until I was told that 'one of us' did this?"

That was something she still didn't fully comprehend. She was tempted to tell Oliver that they should wait to talk later, after things calmed down, but by his mention that he had a place where they could talk... That immediately caught her interest, and after one last look towards the Wagon Wheel, she turned back to him. "Lead the way, Ollie. I'm assuming they'll send someone to help those people?"

Oliver explained a little of the history of what had been going on at the Complex since his arrival: the shootings, the riot at dinner. And then he introduced her to the Specials HQ and gestured for her to sit down. It was time to tell her what was really going on.

"It's the computer. The one supposedly in charge of this place. It's...not right. But how many people need someone to blame, not something? Trying to blame a computer is like trying to personify it, even if this particular computer is more advanced than the average PC. These people, they're victims needing something to fight against. It doesn't make what they do right, but it makes what I'm trying to do necessary."

Because there was no way that Oliver Queen would suffer this kind of environment without trying to change it. Without trying to free the people to make their own choices.
